I haven't used PGSql in years. At the time I liked it better than MySQL (still do for some use cases). But for the core of Hubzilla, I would probably tend toward MySQL (I actually use MariaDB myself) simply because that's what the largest majority of installations are likely using and errors and problems will be identified most quickly.
I should probably take a look at pGSql and see what new stuff they have.

Right, mysql is likely to be slightly more stable. OTOH if more people use postgresql it will be just as stable. There are, at least to me, no known issues atm.

As @
Mario Vavti
said: the more people will use #
PostgreSQL
the better and more stable the support will be. Additionally, as someone else pointed out in a different thread in the Fediverse: After Sun and Oracle bought #
MySQL
there is no "MySQL" anymore, but several forks of them like #
MariaDB
. So, in the end as a developer you maybe need to support not only one MySQL variant, but multiple, whereas there is only one PostgreSQL to support.
Wherever I can I try to use PostgreSQL as DBMS and report issues when I encounter them.
